Sketch-22 returns this December with a Sketch-22 Christmas, December 7-9 and 13-15 at The Guild. Featuring the creative wits of Rob MacDonald, Graham Putnam, Jason Rogerson, Andrew Sprague, Dennis Trainor, and Harmony Wagner, the live sketch comedy show puts a unique spin on Christmas, both past and present. From biblical times to today’s holiday traditions, the group explores the season through original and satirical live sketches and videos that blend together seamlessly to create an evening of uproarious laughter and unforgettable characters. “The Christmas season is rich with comic potential,” says producer Jason Rogerson. “Our Christmas show in 2005 was so well received and so much fun to do that we just couldn’t resist bringing it back.” Featuring new video content, the show touches upon traditions that everyone is familiar with. From last minute shopping to Christmas Eve rituals, and of course, the original Christmas story, the birth of the savior, nothing is sacred. Returning to the production team are stage manager, Ghislaine O’Hanley, and crew master, Ryan Townshend. Videos were shot by Will McFadden and Joey Weale. Graphic design is by Laura O’Brien, with selected video effects by Fox Henderson. Web design is by Lorrie Jollimore of Shizamo Software. Sketch-22 Christmas is directed by Rob MacDonald and produced by Jason Rogerson. Perfect for Christmas parties, Sketch-22 is offering a special group rate. When you buy ten or more tickets, you will receive a 10% discount. Beyond an evening of outrageous comedy, the Guild also has space available if you wish to have your party catered. For just $50 plus GST you can rent space within The Gallery@The Guild on The Guild’s lower level. The Guild will provide your business with a large folding table & licensed bar service while you provide the tasty morsels for your guests. The room will be available starting at 6:30 p.m. At 7:30, the bar will be open to the public. Space is limited, so be sure to book early.
